I started doing level design since few weeks, wich is mainly making layouts out of the stuff I drew. THis is one of many dungeon room. colored every individual assets. He's a well reknown colorist, for working with Marvel comics. SO working with him means alot to me career wise. I add tones and custom stuff to avoid the whole thing from looking to much fragmented, as if it was mounted in a map editor. THere are sometimes color adjustement, but it usually dosnt interfer with Daniel's coloring.
THis is for Sacred Season. A flash game mmo, that popped over 2 millions plays on Kongregate. It made enough money to finance a small team. We are literally redoing the game, but the level grinders gets to keep their precious characters. [link] <
EDIT: Learn recently that retro-compatibility with old SS1 account are not gonna work.
This post will soon be exploding with hits as it has become an example of how SS players were mislead. As you stated here about 2 months before this response "We are literally redoing the game, but the level grinders gets to keep their precious characters." As of March 9, 2010 all of us SS players have been told we will NOT be allowed to keep our "precious characters". Currently the idea that this bait-and-switch is justified is being sold to us on the SS forums.
im not a game designer nor behind the technical aspect. I was told it would be as such back then. Frankly, I did not know more than the players since I dint really care to be kept in the loop about anything other than art. I assure you that I am not the right person to whom you should redirect your angst.
